The Gouina hydroelectric power station in Mali is one of the largest hydropower projects in West Africa, located on the Senegal River, with a total installed capacity of 140 megawatts.

Cambodia Pursat hydropower plant diversion tunnel project is progressing smoothly.
Cambodia Pursat Hydropower Plant has a total installed capacity of 80 MW.The diversion tunnel of the project is a critical work in the construction of the hydropower plant and is progressing as planned. The smooth progress of the diversion tunnel project has laid a solid foundation for the completion of the whole hydropower plant project on schedule.

The Basic Design Report of the Nyabarongo II hydropower plant in Nahar, Rwanda, has been successfully approved after a year of hard work.
This is the largest hydropower project implemented by China and Rwanda in cooperation, and will make a significant contribution to the country's energy security and economic development. The power plant is located on the Nyabarongo River, about 25 km from the capital Kigali, with an installed capacity of 43.5 MW. The project is an EPC+F contract with a construction period of 56 months. The project includes the construction of the dam, flood protection system, water intake and power generation system, as well as transmission and substation lines.

With the efforts of OTEC team, PowerChina was successfully shortlisted for the ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) of NEOM TROJENA project in Saudi Arabia.
This is another important breakthrough for PowerChina in the Middle East market and the first ECI project for OTEC.
PowerChina will perform design review, design optimization, risk assessment and cost control of the project together with the owner and consultants, and expects to be eventually awarded the D&B contract.
OTEC will continue to bring its strengths forward for the continuation of the TROJENA project and build a new brand in Saudi Arabia and even in the Middle East market.

The Gribo Popoli hydropower project in Côte d’Ivoire has completed the diversion work 100 days ahead of schedule, creating favorable conditions for the subsequent dam construction.
The project is located on the Sassandra River in southwestern Côte d’Ivoire, with a total installed capacity of 112 megawatts.
OTEC provides technical and commercial consulting services for PowerChina in this project.

The Gouina hydroelectric plant in Mali was inaugurated on December 3, 2022.
Gouina Hydropower Plant in Mali is one of the largest hydropower projects in West Africa, located on the Senegal River, with a total installed capacity of 140 MW. The hydropower plant will provide reliable, clean and economical electricity to Mali and neighboring countries, promoting local socio-economic development and regional integration.

OTEC ENGINEERING has signed a consultancy service contract with SINOHYDRO on the December 10, 2021, for the Engineering design, procurement and construction of the Kinguélé Aval Hydropower project in Gabon. This is the second hydropower project in Gabon for OTEC Engineering.

Following a limited call for tender, OTEC ENGINEERING has signed a consultancy service contract with STECOL (PowerChina Group) on the November 30, 2020, for the Engineering, procurement and construction of the Nyabarongo II Multipurpose Development project in Rwanda.
This is a new hydroelectric project in South-Eastern Africa for OTEC Engineering.

On June 10, 2020, OTEC ENGINEERING has signed an agreement with Artelia Group for the factory reception of HEM equipment for the Nam Ngum 3 hydroelectric project in Laos, which allows the project to be completed on time despite the pandemic COVID.
